Responsible for operations of one or more maintenance and repair shops, including safety, compliance, quality control, scheduling, work order management, maintenance, personnel performance, operational budgets, and related records.
Candidate may also be based in Scottsbluff, NE.
Main Responsibilities
- Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
- Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
- Effectively coordinate operations to ensure safety, regulatory, quality, and production targets are met
- Coordinate training, coaching and development of employees to perform at their highest level
- Maintain effective association with customers, suppliers, and Company business groups
- Coordinate, schedule, and assign maintenance and repair work to ensure effective time management
- Supervise vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair schedules, including preventative maintenance intervals in order to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Responsible for the inventory of parts and materials supply
- Maintain maintenance budget for assigned area(s); provide information and reports to management related to financial performance of shop operations
- Work closely with equipment management team regarding equipment condition; make recommendations for repair and/or replacement of components and equipment
- Fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or drawings
- Lead administrative staff responsible for maintaining shop records
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Education
- Degree from a vocational school, and/or degree in business administration, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; relevant maintenance certifications a plus
- Valid drivers’ license and ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record required; commercial license a plus
Skills
- 5+ years of experience working in a heavy equipment maintenance and repair environment
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Proven digital literacy, including use of MS Office products, work order, budgeting, and inventory control systems
- Self-directed, driven by results, and highly motivated, requiring minimal direct guidance
- Ability to lead and empower others with proven experience effectively leading a team
- Ability to successfully prioritize, problem-solve, and work under consistent pressure of deadlines
Physical Requirements
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines
- Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Occasionally required to work while sitting for long periods in an office environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly required to Stand/work on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
- Regularly exposed to a shop environment and work near moving mechanical parts and heavy machinery, loud noises, dust, fuel/oil, and other chemicals
- Occasionally required to work from heights
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear), and perform tasks requiring visual acuity

Compensation*
$85,000 - $115,000 DOE
*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual’s qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.
