Paver Operator
Location: Fort Collins, CO

Operates a commercial paving machine used for bridge, highway, roadway/street, and large patch projects.
Main Responsibilities
- Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
- Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
- Observes safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials accurately
- Operates commercial asphalt paver, including providing direction and hand signals to drivers and other employees on the paving crew
- Directs materials supply trucks into hopper
- Operates other tools and equipment as required for assigned tasks
- Performs minor equipment maintenance inspections such as greasing, checking oil and fluids
- Drives company vehicles to worksites and company locations when authorized
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver\'s license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required
Skills
- 3-5 years of related experience and/or training in operation of a commercial paver and related equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents, i.e., safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Physical Requirements
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear), and perform tasks requiring visual acuity
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequent exposure to loud noise, and work around heavy machinery and mobile construction equipment
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Occasionally exposed to working from high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock
- Regularly required to work from a seated position operating equipment for long periods

Compensation*
$24-$32/Hr DOE
*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual’s qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.
